Bearded Barney Frank: I Thought of Tea Party as ‘dumb animals’

Dumb is as dumb does.

In referring to the Tea Party as “dumb animals,” former Dem Congressman Barney Frank set a new low for himself with his ridiculous and malicious comments on “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” Thursday.

Frank totally twisted the words and meaning of incoming Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell with these comments:

“Can I just say, that one thing that McConnell said that I thought was extraordinary…
In self-denigration, he said when the president talked about doing some things by executive orders,
as far as the Republican party was concerned, it was like waving a red flag in front of a bull.
Describing your own party as a dumb animal that goes into a frenzy when it sees a non-threatening inanimate object,
I guess to some extent that’s right. I guess that’s the way I thought about the Tea Party.
But I’m interested to see Mitch McConnell joining that characterization.”

Frank is plain dumb for not understanding that McConnell’s analogy and he is plain contemptible for ridiculing that which he does not understand.

To educate Frank, the largely accurate bullfight analogy came about because following the huge GOP victory, President Obama reiterated
his promise of executive action to protect potentially millions of unauthorized immigrants from deportation which prompted McConnell to
liken such a move to “waving a red flag in front of a bull.”

Barney has become the bullfight clown. At least MSNBC host Chris Matthews thought it was hysterical.

Dumb is and dumb does.
