“Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson has had enough of the “politically correct crap” and is using his star power to urge Christians to “vote godly men into office.”
The reality TV star cut a number of get-out-the-vote ads telling these folks they “better move before it’s too late.”
“You Christian folks sit on them pews and you don’t go register to vote,” Robertson said in one video ad for the evangelical group American Renewal Project. “Half of you don’t even register, and only half of the ones of you are registered actually vote. Duh! If you want more of the same of this politically correct crap, just keep sitting on the pew and you’re going to get more of it.”
“We need to elect Godly men for crying out loud, or we are going to get more of the same,” Robertson said in another video ad.
“We want godly men making political decisions like George Washington, like John Adams, like Thomas Jefferson, like James Madison,” he continued. “We need godly men like the ones who founded our country.”
In an ad for his nephew, GOP congressional candidate Zach Dasher, he gets right to the point.
“Hey Louisiana, Bibles and guns brought us here, and Bibles and guns will keep us here,” he said, while holding one of each. “Zach Dasher believes in both, that’s why I’m voting for him.”
