Liberals might want to check the water far-left TV host Bill Maher is drinking these days.
After wandering off the political plantation recently by criticizing Islam, the comedian trumped that misstep Friday by convicting Officer Darren Wilson of murder for shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown.
But not before calling Brown a “thug.”
The unarmed black teen was killed in August by the white police officer during a confrontation in Ferguson, Mo.
Without a shred of evidence, Maher said the shooting that has yet to draw official charges was murder.
“Why do you want to throw your lot in with this plain murderer?” Maher asked of those who support Wilson.
Perhaps fearing he’d be painted as too liberal by his detractors, Maher then let it be known that Brown, who was dubbed the “gentle giant” by some supporters, was not innocent, either.
“I’m sorry, but Michael Brown’s people say he’s a gentle giant,” he said. “Well, we saw that video of where he was in the 7-Eleven. No, he wasn’t a gentle giant. He was committing a robbery, and he pushed that guy. He was acting like a thug, not like a gentle giant.”
He did clarify that Brown “certainly didn’t deserve to be shot for it.”
