Hatchet-swinging Islamist just wanted to kill white people, his father says

hatchetThe murderous lunatic who attacked four New York City police officers with a hatchet wanted more then just jihad.

Zale Thompson wanted revenge for American history, according to the New York Post.

“He wanted white people to pay for all that slavery and all that racism,”  his father, Ralph Thompson, told the paper. “I think he committed suicide — and he was taking one of y’all with him.”

When the Post reporter asked Thompson if “one of ya’ll” meant a white person,  Thompson said, “Yeah.”

“He just said, ‘They have to pay for all their unfairness,’ ” the elder Thompson said. “Unfairness for the way they treat black people.”

Zale Thompson, 32, was shot and killed by police on the Queens sidewalk where he struck Officer Joseph Meeker, 24, in the arm and Officer Kenneth Healey, 25, in the back of the head with his hatchet.

His father described him as bright but radically pro-“black power.” He said his son was a recent convert to Islam, reported the Post.

“I didn’t know he was going to carry on a mission on his own,” said Thompson.

“He googled the words ‘jihad against police,’ ” a law enforcement source told the Post. “He also looked up [news stories on] the two Canadian attacks.”

The Islamic State, also known as ISIS, has been calling for lone wolf attacks in recent weeks.

“Strike their police, security and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents,” ISIS spokesman Aub Mohammad al-Adnani wrote in a Sept. 21 online post. “If you are not able to find [a bomb] or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him or poison him.”

Zale Thompson agreed.

“America’s military is strong abroad, but they have never faced an internal mass revolt,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “They are weaker at home. We are scattered and decentralized, we can use this as an advantage.”

New York’s cops can use bullets as an advantage, too.
