Voter engages Obama in trash talk at voting booth

Who’d the guy think he was talking to, Bill Clinton?

As President Obama stood waiting to cast his early vote Monday in his neighborhood polling place in Chicago, he might have gotten a little too close to fellow voter Aia Cooper, according to CBS.

Don’t touch my girlfriend,” a man identified as Mike Jones told the president.

Obama played it off by turning on the phony down-home dialect.

“There’s an example of a brother just embarrassing me for no reason, just for no reason whatsoever,” he told reporters. (Think he says “a brother” much when he’s talking about Ben Carson back at the White House?)

Considering the swirl of media that usually surrounds an incumbent president, the Secret Service protection and the general buzz, it’s a pretty good bet Jones was joking about Obama trying anything on his girlfriend.

And he sounds like an OK guy anyway, even if he is a Democrat.

“It was so silent in there and everyone was just taking pictures I figured I had to say something to make people laugh,” he told CBS.

Funny. But he might want to be watching his tax statements next April.

Twitter, naturally, had some ideas about how the president could have responded. (Strong language ahead.)

Actually, he’ll probably be talking to the IRS.
