Why is Eric Holder resigning now? Don’t ask him

Attorney General Eric Holder will retire from his post as soon as his successor is confirmed, multiple sources now report.

With all that is going on in the world, Twitter users want to know why Holder chose this moment to announce his resignation.

Some theorized that Holder wants to give President Obama the opportunity to appoint a successor while the Senate remains in Democrat hands; others say that Holder himself may not know the reason for his leaving.

At least one source adds that the White House is already getting advice on choosing a successor for the nation’s first black attorney general – from Al Sharpton.

Thank goodness.
