A San Francisco restaurant owner created a social media explosion when he abruptly closed his business temporarily, citing “picky eaters” as the reason.
SO restaurant owner and chef James Chu uses MSG in his food, doesn’t believe in organic, “doesn’t give a s**t” about gluten-free and won’t battle with those who prefer food otherwise, according to ABC News7.
So, he posted a sign, tweeted by News7’s Lisa Amin, that said:

Chu decided he had enough last week when two patrons gave him a hard time over the food.
“The second guy came up to me and said, ‘The rule is, if we don’t like it we don’t have to pay,’” Chu said. “And as he walked out he started cursing at me and that’s when I went poof.”
Even some picky eaters don’t blame him.
“Because of my food preferences, as far as quality goes, I wouldn’t choose to eat there, but it is his choice,” San Francisco resident Shawn Matson told ABC7.
Those who like Chu’s food stand behind him.
“There are a ton of places to go to get gluten free or non-MSG. There’s no reason to turn around and go after a guy trying to run a business,” Fairfax resident Frank Lange said.
Social media exploded with opinions on both sides:
