The kids on the Mighty Mites football team may need a little more work on the “mighty” part.
Crashing through a vinyl banner after the first home game win, 24-0, wasn’t in the cards for the proud six and 7-year-old tacklers.
According to the New York Post, James Cracolici, the man who posted the video on YouTube, explained what happened.
“Few people asked about the banner,” he wrote in the comments section. “Yes it’s vinyl but it is actually two pieces held together by Velcro. What you can’t see is the sign is backwards with the writing facing us on the field. Guess it’s not made to break that way.”
A tip for the team mommies: Learn when to to let go!
