London woman beheaded by wild man ‘on the loose with a machete’

A north London woman was found beheaded in the garden of her home Thursday after witnesses say a man went “on the loose with a machete.”

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of 82-year-old Palmira Silva, according to Breitbart London.

The suspect is in custody at a local hospital where he’s being treated for injuries sustained during the arrest, reportedly suffering a broken wrist in the altercation. He will be “assessed by psychiatrists, tested for drugs and questioned by Homicide and Major Crimes officers,” Breitbart reported.

Police evacuated the area during the “fast moving and difficult situation” as the suspect moved from house to house.

Commander Simon Letchford said during a press conference that “based on what we know, we do not believe this was a terror-related incident,” but that has not been confirmed by police and the investigation is ongoing.

As the suspect moved through the area, he appeared to be targeting other victims, even damaging a car in his rampage.

This is not the first high-profile case of a machete attack in anti-gun London. British soldier Lee Rigby was hacked to death in broad daylight by two Muslim extremists in June of last year.
