Resign now! Parents of slain Navy SEAL annihilate ‘cowardly’ Obama: ‘You, Sir, are the JV team’

The parents of a Navy SEAL killed in when his chopper was shot down over Afghanistan in 2011 have issued an open letter to President Obama with a simple message:

Resign. Now.

collageobamavaugh0902In the letter, published by the World Tribune, Billy and Karen Vaughn describe watching the video of Islamist savages beheading American photojournalist James Foley and contrast it with Obama’s seemingly endless rounds of golf.

“As Commander-in-Chief, your actions — or lack thereof — Mr. President, cost lives,” the Vaugns wrote. “As you bumble about in your golf cart, slapping on a happy face and fist-pounding your buddies, your cowardly lack of leadership has left a gaping hole — not only in America’s security — but the security of the entire globe. Your message has come across loud and clear, sir: You are not up to this job. You know it. We know it. The world knows it.”

The Vaughns’ son, Aaron Vaughn, was among 30 Americans and eight Afghans who died when their transport helicopter was shot down in Aug. 6, 2011. It was America’s worst single loss of life in a military engagement during the whole war.

In the aftermath, the Vaughns openly criticized the Obama administration’s use of special forces in the war, and its politically driven rules of engagement they said were contributing to American deaths in Afghanistan. Billy Vaughn is the author of a book about the disaster, “Betrayed: The Shocking True Story of Extortion 17 as Told by a Navy SEAL’s Father.”

Obama’s handling of the war — and his job — has put their son’s sacrifice in danger, the Vaughns wrote.

“Thanks to your ‘leadership’ from whatever multi-million dollar vacation you happen to be on at any given moment, the world is in chaos. What’s been gained, you’ve lost. What’s been lost, you’ve decimated. You’ve demolished our ability to hold the trust of allies. You’ve made a mockery of the title ‘President.’ And you’ve betrayed the nation for which my son and over 1.3 million others have sacrificed their very lives.”

The Vaughns conclude with an allusion to Foley’s murder, and a recall of one of the stupidest things this president has said during his six long years in office – one that is likely to come back to haunt him and the country for the remainder of this benighted term.

“And now, we have this recent, heinous event: the beheading of an American citizen by a barbaric organization you foolishly referred to as ‘the JV team’ in your statements to the New Yorker magazine in January.

“You, sir, are the JV team. It’s time for you to step down and allow a true leader to restore our honor and protect our sons and daughters.”

When a left-wing lunatic named Cindy Sheehan was driven to public insanity by the death of her son in Iraq, she became a national celebrity with the help of cynical liberal operatives and a media that chased any anti-administration angle during the Bush years.

So far, the Vaughns haven’t gotten the same treatment.

Why would that be?

The Vaughns appeared on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning. Check it out here.
