Report: Obama given detailed intelligence for a year about ISIS – he’s not reading?

The president who pretends he learns everything from news reports has been getting daily briefings on the rise of the terror group known as ISIS for at least a year – but hasn’t come up with a strategy to deal with it yet.

andrewnapolitano0902According to a Fox News report that cites an anonymous source, President Obama has been receiving detailed reports – the source called them “granular” – about the terror group that  solidified its international notoriety with the broadcast beheading of American photojournalist James Foley.

“This is getting bad,” the source told Fox.

One big factor in the process is Obama’s apparent habit of insisting on reading the briefings alone rather than having them presented to him in the morning, as his predecessors have done.

If the White House is telling the truth about the president and his aides were more or less blindsided by the rapid rise of the Islamic State, and if the Fox report is accurate that the president’s daily briefing has contained detailed information about the same group, the question arises as to whether Obama’s been actually reading the reports.

Remember how the liberals howled for years about the nebulous warning contained in the president’s daily briefing for George W. Bush stating that Osama bin Laden intended an attack on the mainland United States? Bush had been president for less than one year on Sept. 11, 2001.

Obama’s had more time than that just to read about this terrorist menace he dismissed in April as the “jayvee” squad.

More than a year, and by Obama’s own admission there is “no strategy” in place against the savages known as ISIS. Is the man giddy supporters think is the most brilliant to ever win the presidency even doing his homework?

Meanwhile, on Tuesday’s “Fox & Friends,” judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano had a different take on the subject. Citing information leaked by former National Security Agency contract employee and traitor Edward Snowden, Napolitano said the Obama administration has spent more time spying the Americans it’s supposed to be protecting than on the country’s enemies. Check out Napolitano here.
