Iron Man: Obama spends first Sunday back after vacation — on the golf course

The United States Embassy grounds were overrun by Islamic militants in Libya.

The Sunday morning talk shows were awash with Republicans demanding a strategy to deal with the rising threat of the Islamic State, the most radical Islamic terrorists yet to arise in Iraq and Syria.

And President Obama went golfing.

Seriously, the commander in chief of America’s armed forces apparently had nothing better to do with his time on a scorching hot Washington afternoon than take in a round of golf with some trusted staffers from the White House, according to The Hill.

Making up the foursome were Obama, Joe Paulson, a White House scheduler, Luke Rosa, an Obama advance man, and Mike Brush, the lead White House advance man.

All that golf time on Martha’s Vineyard apparently wasn’t enough to sate the presidential thirst for manicured greens while the world continues to burn around him.

For the record, it’s his 194th round since taking office.

And for the record, Twitter users remain angry at the presidential indifference — particularly when it comes to matters involving Libya.

That’s not to say there isn’t some humor in it.

Give it a chance. He’s still got two more years to play with.
