A new lawsuit seeking criminal records on the unarmed black teenager fatally shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Mo. claims the teen was involved in a gang and once faced a second-degree murder charge.
Charles Johnson, the editor-in-chief of “GotNews,” sued St. Louis County last week, saying Michael Brown’s juvenile record should no longer be kept private now that he is dead, according to AOL.com.

“I had two law enforcement contacts who told me #MichaelBrown had juvenile criminal record,” Johnson tweeted on Aug. 20. “I will be suing to get the answer.”
Brown was killed earlier this month by Officer Darren Wilson. Witness accounts vary on whether Brown was walking away when shot or whether he attacked Wilson first.

Johnson also repeated rumors that Brown was a member of the “Crips” gang. A tweet with a photo showing members of the Crips and Bloods gangs “united for Mike Brown” drew some interesting responses, including these:
