A New York woman pleading to know why she had just been shot in the back of the head with a pellet gun was told simply that “all white people suck.”
The 36-year-old woman, identified only as Hanna, was walking in Central Park early Monday when she suddenly felt a “horrible pain” in the back of her head, the New York Daily News reported.
“My hand went up to my head, and there was blood gushing everywhere,” she said.
Hanna had just passed a group of young black people — two men and three women, according to the Daily News.

“I turned around, and I said, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this to me? What’s wrong with you people?’” she said.
The group responded with a salvo of racial epithets.
“F—- you, you f—— white b—-,” one of the women said, according to Hanna.
One of the men provided a more fitting response to her question.
“All white people suck,” the man yelled. “F— white people.”
The Daily News reported that the attack is being investigated by the New York Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force.
“It’s a hate crime — for no reason at all,” Hanna said. “I was just walking by. There was no sort of eye movement. There was no altercation, confrontation, anything like that.”
Does this mean that Attorney General Eric Holder will follow up on last week’s trip to Ferguson, Mo., with a visit to the Big Apple?
Hanna finds it “amazing” that people can be so hateful.
“We all bleed red blood,” she said. “There’s no room for hatred. Not in New York. Not anywhere.”
