Disgusting thing customer finds in McDonalds sandwich gets employee fired

A North Carolina mother found an unappetizing design drawn on her McChicken sandwich recently – a Nazi swastika.

When Charlotte Matice got home from buying dinner for the family at a nearby McDonald’s, she opened her chicken sandwich to add mayonnaise and discovered the ugly symbol drawn in butter on the bun, she told local ABC news affiliate WCTI12.

The granddaughter of a World War II veteran, Matice said was upset that an anti-Semitic symbol had been hidden in her dinner.

“Many people died because of that symbol, and it’s not something that should be taken lightly,” she told WCTI12. “It’s not something that should be thrown around.”

Dulcy Purcell, owner and operator of the Morehead City McDonald’s, told WCTI12 that the restaurant has already taken action against the employee responsible.

“We are very sorry for the service that our customers received, and to be clear we have terminated the employee who was involved,” Purcell said in an email to WCTI12. “We do not tolerate that kind of behavior at McDonald’s, and it’s not what we stand for personally as owners. It is about providing the best level of service and care to our customers, and anything less than that is unacceptable to us.”

Matice told the TV station that she is no longer upset over the incident and, as “a loyal customer,” she’ll be returning to the restaurant.
