So much for the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
A Times Square human version of the comic book super-hero gave the self-described affable crime fighter a bad rap when he got into fisticuffs Saturday with New York’s finest.
And the whole thing was caught on video!
“A panhandler dressed as the iconic webslinger repeatedly punched a cop in the face,” the New York Post reported.
According to the Post, the man was upset when police confronted him over the price he was charging tourists to pose for photos.
“F–k you! This is none of your business,” he allegedly told the officer while ripping off his mask.
The tussle would soon command a whole platoon of cops, but they keep things in perspective and did not allow the altercation to skew their opinion of Spidey.
“The real Spider-Man would have never done something like this,” one officer noted.
