Conservative activist who ambushed Hillary at book signing calls out Bill O’Reilly for his slam

billO_matteraFox News host Bill O’Reilly called out conservative activist Jason Mattera Wednesday for ambushing Hillary Clinton during her book tour, asking her to make out a dedication to Chris Stevens — the U.S. ambassador who died in the Benghazi attack.

“I think you know him,” Mattera said, before pointing out that she had more security around her at that moment than Stevens had in Benghazi.

Despite being celebrated on social media, O’Reilly called Mattera’s actions “cheap stuff,” saying it hurts the conservative cause. Fox News contributor Martha MacCallum joined O’Reilly, and she agreed with his assessment.

“I thought Hillary Clinton handled it well,” O’Reilly said. “Much better than I would have.”

Not surprisingly, Mattera took to Twitter posthaste to express his opinion on O’Reilly’s slam, even making a valid point about the Fox News host trying to score an interview with the likely 2016 Democratic presidential nominee.

O’Reilly scored two interviews with President Obama by being measured in his criticisms of the man.

Mattera called BillO out for not having him on the program, and pointed to the actions of the media as a motivation for his actions:
