It’s not often that you’ll find Hillary Clinton being compared to pop icon Kim Kardashian, but Newt Gingrich did just that while critiquing her prowess as a candidate.

Gingrich was commenting on President Bill Clinton coming to the defense of his wife’s recent remark about them being “dead broke.”

“You have to understand the problem Bill Clinton has,” Gingrich said Tuesday on CNN’s “Crossfire.” “Bill is to politics what Fred Astaire was to dancing. He is just automatically amazing and he wants to have Ginger Rogers out there dancing.”

“Instead, it’s a little bit like watching Kim Kardashian get kicked off the stage by Prince because she couldn’t dance,” he continued.

In a February 2011 concert, singer/songwriter Prince had Kardashian brought up on stage, but when she refused to dance, he dismissed her by saying, “Get off the stage!”

“I think there’s a big problem, because I don’t think, as a candidate, that she [Hillary Clinton] dances very well,” Gingrich concluded.
