Father wallops teacher with baseball bat after finding inappropriate texts to his teen daughter

In a case that raises more questions than answers, a teacher went to a student’s home on a school morning, apparently to explain the relationship he had with the young girl to her parents. After allegedly refusing to leave, he was struck by the father with a baseball bat.

The incident took place Thursday in the White Marsh area of Baltimore County, after the mother had discovered a score of inappropriate texts between the 42-year-old man and her 15-year-old daughter, WMAR ABC2 News reported.

She called police at 3 a.m. to report the unseemly texts, before the teacher appeared at her home, uninvited.

County police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said officers determined that there was nothing criminal in the texts nor had any crimes been committed, but the Crimes Against Children Unit would investigate further.

The police report revealed the teacher had the right to file a complaint for second degree assault for minor injuries he sustained, which he declined. The father had the right to file a trespassing charge if he so desired.

None of the names of any of the participants have as yet been released.
