Jay Carney waffles on ‘yes or no’ Shinseki question

Like many of his predecessors, White House press secretary Jay Carney has admirably learned to obfuscate, fudge, misdirect, prevaricate, skate around, and circumvent the direct “yes or no question,” as he so amply demonstrated on Thursday.

At the daily briefing, he could not bring himself to answer ABC reporter Jon Karl’s straightforward query: “Does the president have confidence in Secretary [of Veterans Affairs Eric] Shinseki?”

Carney waffled, dodging the question time and time again, as the RealClearPolitics video clearly reveals.
