Once the bell rang, it didn’t take long to realize that an amateur fighter would need a miracle to prevail in a recent match and he got just that.
MMA fighter Mike Pantangco was having his way with an outclassed Jeremy Rasner, when suddenly the dominating amateur “tapped out” to stop the bout.
But the reason he did so was due to an awesome display of sportsmanship seldom seen in professional sports.
“We’re amateur fighters,” Pantangco told AXS TV. “We don’t get money… and I know that the only thing I’m going to finish the fight is him to go in the hospital or get hurt. I just feel terrible so I’m just going to give him the win.”
