A young Texas Ranger fan has been the focus of a lot of attention since he was captured on video giving a foul ball to a pretty woman behind him.
The clip shows the kid catching a foul ball a coach had tossed into the stands. He then turned to a group of young ladies sitting behind him and appeared to hand one of them the ball, as the others gushed over his chivalry.
But upon closer examination, the smooth operator actually kept the game ball and gave away another ball he was already holding.
The local ABC affiliate WFAA tracked down the young fan, Austin Chaney, who explained that he and a friend were sitting in great seats near the field and had already gotten a few foul balls tossed up by the third base coach.

“I was told if I got another ball, I should give it to someone else, so I turned around… I thought I was going to give it to someone deep down there, and I saw her right in front of me and I gave it to her,” he told WFAA.
As for being smooth, his mom put things into perspective as only a mom can.
“If they only knew him!” Jenni Chaney said. “He trips over the wind blowing!”
