Karl Rove blows up at Juan Williams over Clinton comments: ‘I didn’t say it!’

Fox News analyst Juan Williams blasted political strategist Karl Rove over his comments about Hillary Clinton’s brain injury, saying Rove could be inadvertently helping her.

Rove has spent the past week defending comments he made about a brain injury Clinton said she sustained during a fall in 2012. Rove insists he was misquoted as saying the former secretary of state had brain damage, but he said he didn’t appreciate being lectured by Bill Clinton over “hardball politics.” The Clintons, after all, were just as harsh with GOP presidential nominee Bob Dole in the 1996 presidential debates.

When Williams mentioned Rove’s “brain damage” comment, Rove interrupted, saying, “I didn’t say it, I didn’t say it!”

Williams wouldn’t back down.

“This was a harsh attack by Karl,” Williams said. “This is a personal attack. It wasn’t about ideas. The GOP at this moment is apoplectic over Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is to blame for Benghazi. Hillary Clinton is to blame for Nigeria. Hillary Clinton is to blame for Monica Lewinsky. Hillary Clinton was a terrible secretary of state. You guys are going crazy!”

Rove stood by his remarks, saying Clinton had suffered a concussion, which by definition is a “traumatic brain injury.”
