Charlie Crist’s new low draws national scorn; blames racism for leaving GOP!

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, the one-time Republican now running for his old seat as a Democrat, claims he left the GOP because of racism.

“I couldn’t be consistent with myself and my core beliefs, and stay with a party that was so unfriendly toward the African-American president, I’ll just go there,” Crist said in an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos. “I was a Republican and I saw the activists and what they were doing, it was intolerable to me.”

Ramos challenged Crist, saying, “You left the Republican Party because you were going to lose to Marco Rubio.”

“No, I left the Republican Party because the leadership went off the cliff,” Crist answered.

Never mind that the party faithful preferred the Hispanic candidate over him.
