A woman who lost her mother 20 years ago has known since she got married that her father was anxious for a grandchild.
When she got the chance to tell him it was a wish coming true, she made his day in a special way.
And it’s has been warming hearts all over the Internet since she posted the scene on Reddit a week ago.
“Told my dad he is going to be a grandpa,” Jessica Hickey wrote. “I am his only child and my mother passed away 20 years ago. He has been asking us for grandchildren since our wedding night.”
Hickey broke the news with a pacifier – “Looks like something you used to suck on when you was little,” hre father says.
There’s a note attached.
“You should probably read it,” Hickey says.
“I think he is happy,” Hickey wrote.
Maybe just a little.
