CNN’s panel cracks up when State Dept. spokesperson can’t name Hillary Clinton achievements

Associated Press reporter Matt Lee once again became a thorn in State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki’s side Tuesday when he asked a question that has stumped America for years — what has former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accomplished.

Lee asked Psaki if she could name “one tangible achievement of the last QDDR,” the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review covering the last four years of the State Department when Clinton served as its secretary.

After a lot of waffling and back and forth in which Psaki was unable to come up with a single accomplishment, she finally pleaded that Clinton’s reign was before her time.

“Well, as you know, I’ve only been here since it was concluded,” she said. “I’m sure there are a range of things that were put into place that I’m not even aware of —”

“I won’t hold my breath,” Lee quipped.

That question has been floating around for months. In February, a former Clinton aide was unable to come up with anything. Even Clinton herself was put on the spot when she was unable to come up with a coherent answer earlier this month. She finally told the interviewer he’ll just have to read her book.

A CNN “New Day” panel got a big kick out of the State Department’s response to Lee’s question — they actually laughed out loud. Have a look.
