Less than two hours after attending a memorial service today for soldiers killed in the Fort Hood shooting, President Obama will be schmoozing for dollars at a Houston fundraiser with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
Obama is scheduled to attend the service for the Fort Hood victims beginning at 11:30 a.m. Central Time, according to The Examiner.
After some no-doubt heartfelt prayers, he’ll be off to the black-tie event to raise money for the Democratic National Committee, where the party that cares for the poor is selling tickets at $16,200 a pop per person and $64,800 for couples (straight or otherwise.)
At $64,800 a couple, Reid should have plenty of ammo to rant about how much he despises the Koch brothers and their money corrupting American politics.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin blasted the plans on his show on Tuesday, calling the mixing of mourning and money a “disgrace” to the office of the presidency.
“The president is actually spending more time fundraising in Texas than honoring those who were murdered at Fort Hood at the memorial ceremony,” Levin told his listeners, according to The Blaze. “I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen, I believe this man is a disgrace.
“I don’t know how you leave such a solemn event and then within hours you’re glad-handing you’re fundraising as if you can turn it off and turn it on,” he continued. “No, I’m sorry, that’s a disgrace and he’s a disgrace.”
