The filmmakers behind the documentary “Frack Nation,” Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, are drawing a lot of attention for their latest project, a hard hitting film about Dr. Kermit Gosnell.
The Philadelphia physician was convicted last year of murdering three babies born alive in his abortion clinic and is serving a life sentence in prison without parole.
Billed as a “historic crowdfunding campaign for a movie about America’s biggest serial killer, abortionist Kermit Gosnell and the media cover-up,” the filmmakers are joined by journalist Magdalena Segieda in a powerful video explaining the project.
A campaign website has been set up on Indiegogo.com, which states:
The mainstream media or Hollywood don’t think this is a story. Even though Gosnell killed more people than Gary Ridgeway, John Wayne Gacey, The Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy combined. In a 30 year killing spree, it is thought he killed 1000s of babies. And that wasn’t a national story?
The group turned to Twitter on Sunday to draw additional attention to their fundraising effort:

Their effort to bypass the media “information gatekeepers” in telling this story has resulted in some unexpected support, including conservative blogger and political commentator Michelle Malkin and others, as Twitchy reported:
