Lazy USPS carrier busted throwing package out window of vehicle gets nation’s attention

usps-deliveryA video of a United States Postal Service worker too lazy to get out of his vehicle to deliver a package has gone viral on the Internet.

The video, posted by YouTube user “eDude76,” shows a postal worker pulling up in a customer’s driveway and throwing a package out of an open window. The box contained a hard drive, and can be seen pushing in the closed garage door as it strikes it.

“Hey USPS employees, is this an accepted delivery method?” the user posted on Reddit under a different alias, according to Yahoo News. “Tired of damaged equipment and dents in my garage door.”

Really awkward! Obama speaks to crowd and only one person claps

The video was posted on Tuesday and appears to be from the Syracuse, New York area, according to the accompanying description — it has now been seen over 895,000 times and counting.

Ironically, the USPS has a marketing campaign underway on Twitter to promote its Priority Mail service, and a number of users hijacked the assigned hashtag — #AmazingUSPS — to highlight the incident:

The USPS was tagged so often that they eventually responded, saying the incident was being looked into. As documented by CBC News:
