Giant aquarium bursts at Downtown Disney restaurant

Diners at a Downtown Disney restaurant got an unexpected surprise with their meal Monday when a giant aquarium burst, and it was all captured on video.

The round aquarium at the T-Rex Cafe sprung a huge leak when it appeared to come apart at a seam, according to a diner who shared her experience on Twitter, Fox8 WGHP reported.

“I think the seam in the tank split but the rest was still intact,” Kate Wallace said in a tweet. “Water began gushing out immediately.”

Wallace also tweeted this photo:

The tables surrounding the aquarium had to be cleared as the water gushed from the tank, and witnesses said employees “climbed in and started scooping up the fish.”

According to Fox News, a Disney spokeswoman called the leak small. If that is considered small, I’d hate to see a big leak!
