Cruz: Harry Reid thinks Koch brothers are the Grinch who stole Christmas

cruz filibusteroAs the U.S. Senate took up a bill to provide financial aid to Ukraine, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, rose to object to an IMF bailout Majority Leader Harry Reid attached to the legislation.

In the process, he blasted Reid for repeatedly demonizing the billionaire Koch brothers — Reid tried to blame the Koch brothers for halting progress on the Ukraine bill.

“I’m beginning to think [the Koch brothers] are a character almost out of Dr. Seuss in the majority leader’s mind, they are the grinch who stole Christmas in his telling,” Cruz said.

Mummified body found; 6 years dead, but managed to vote in 2010

Cruz accused Reid of “using his position of political power” to target private citizens who “are subject to vilification and personal attacks” because they stand up for what they believe in.

“Senate rules allow a member of this body if his or her integrity is impugned to raise an objection,” he said. “What Senate rule allows a private citizen to raise an objection when his integrity is impugned by the majority leader?”

“That is not the job of the United States Senate to vilify private citizens,” he said

harry like all democrats think the rules and laws don’t apply to them

Reid, like any good leftist community organizer, is using classic Alinskyism against individual citizens, such as the Koch brothers. From Rules for Radicals:

    – “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
    – “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
    – “When choosing a target, it must be a person, not something general and abstract such as major corporation”

Harry Reid is a spineless little twerp….he says all this stuff from the floor of the Senate, as it is only there that he can say whatever he wants about anyone and anything and be immune to defamation liability!! God will be dealing with that man real soon!

Cruz needs to expand his reading list beyond dr. Seuss.
