Real congressmen impersonate ‘House of Cards’ famous character

NowThis News got fans of the award-winning Netflix original series, “House of Cards,” ready for the new season Friday by finding real-life politicians to pretend to be actor Kevin Spacey’s cunning, ruthless, cutthroat character, Democratic House Majority Whip Frank Underwood.

The Week nailed what it was like to watch current members of the House, including real House Majority Whip, Republican Kevin McCarthy, and U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, deliver some of Underwood’s lines:

It turns out that icy lines like “That’s how you devour a whale” or “Power is a lot like real estate. Location, location, location” are a lot more unsettling when they come from somebody who actually has political power.
