The chairman of the Republican National Committee gave a bit of insight Tuesday into how the party would handle Hillary Clinton if she decided to run for president in 2016: hammer her relentlessly on the “scandal that surrounds her.”
“With all of the scandal around her I’m not sure it would be all that bad for the Republican Party, to tell you the truth,” Politico reported Reince Priebus told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
“She wanders and scandal surrounds her. We talk about Benghazi. We talk about the health care rollout in the early ’90s. Whitewater. I mean, you name it.”
“This is a person that is involved in scandal one time after the next. I think [there] is going to be a lot to talk about when it comes to Hillary Clinton,” Priebus said.
“You have a political person who makes political decisions her entire life. If she does decide to run, she’s going to answer for every one of them.”
Indeed. Because at this point, it does make a difference.
