John Bolton: Snowden ‘ought to swing from a tall oak tree’ as a traitor

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said Monday that far from offering former NSA contractor and leaker Edward Snowden amnesty, we should give him an oak tree to swing from.

Officials in Washington have been speculating lately of offering the whistleblower amnesty in exchange for a return of the remaining data he made off with, according to Fox News.

Appearing on “America’s News Headquarters” with co-host Bill Hemmer, Bolton said he was strongly opposed to such a deal as well as the fact that it was being openly speculated.

“My view is that Snowden committed treason, he ought to be convicted of that, and then he ought to swing from a tall oak tree,” he said.
