It’s here: The Obama Pearl Harbor selfie

Conservative blogger Doug Ross, inspired by BPR’s report  ‘Obama mum on Pearl Harbor, still working on narcissistic selfie,’ offered a little help to the busy narcissist-in-chief on Saturday.

The article noted the lack of acknowlegement of Pearl Harbor Day by the official Twitter accounts of the White House and Obama:

Saturday marked the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  As of noon, neither the official Twitter account of the White House nor President Obama’s had acknowledged the attack on the base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, even though that is the state of the president’s birth, and the state he will spend Christmas in.

Looking back at the tweets from the White House and Obama over the last month on days of remembrance, perhaps an easy explanation for the administration’s failure to recognize Pearl Harbor might be because there is no official photograph of the president at the site.

Obama did come out with a symbolic picture on his Facebook page – as expected, of himself.

The status read:

“Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served.” —President Obama
