To hell with a beer summit as the way to ease the ongoing feud and tension between two top 2016 GOP presidential contenders.
U.S. Sen. Rand Paul went all out tempting New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with the greatest peace deal in the history of the world: A fried Twinkie summit.
The two have been going at it for months now over just about every issue you could imagine from Hurricane Sandy aid to Paul’s libertarianism.
Paul gave a radio interview Wednesday to Iowa’s WHO’s host Simon Conway and suggested that since Christie had refused his invitation to air their differences over beer, perhaps he and the big guy could attend an Iowa State Fair and bury the hatchet over fried Twinkies.
