Before her death, ten-year-old sends wise message to Congress

An adorable 10-year-old girl suffering from a brain tumor delivered an important message to a strongly-divided Congress: Concentrate on what’s important, and leave the politics at home.

Before Gabriella Miller lost her battle with cancer late last month, she was instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and pediatric cancer research.

Just before her death, while the nation grappled with a contentious government shutdown, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., was asked why the Senate wouldn’t try to help “one child who has cancer” by approving a mini-spending bill. He shot back: “Why would we want to do that?” according to Fox News.
