When delegates booed the effort by the party to restore a reference to God in its platform at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, little did we know the deity was potential competition.
Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes reported Sunday that Organizing For America published an email written by President Obama’s former political adviser David Axelrod that proclaimed “we’ve made serious progress as a nation under President Obama.”
“Before President Obama was elected, the United States was known as one nation under God — but the Obama Administration seems to think otherwise,” Starnes countered in his report.

But then, this all endearing encapsulation of Obama is nothing new, as the few who were paying attention in the very beginning can attest.
Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, co-chair of Obama’s transition team at the time, told NBC’s Tom Brokaw just 5 days after the Nov. 4, 2008 election that “it’s important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one.”
For some reason, I’m not sure the Founding Fathers would have chosen the term “rule” to describe governing.
