Those food-stamp cuts liberals hate are Michelle Obama’s fault

The food stamp cuts that went into effect on Nov. 1 brought hand-wringing stories to the front pages and had the Department of Homeland Security bracing for possible riots, but almost no one traced the blame for them back where it belongs:

To Michelle Obama’s misguided mission to make every kid in America eat what she tells them to – a mission that’s already causing school districts around the country to drop the federal school lunch program because kids won’t eat what they’re being served.

foodstampcuts1112The question is, will the liberals or black America figure it out? Will the DHS call it an Obama riot when hungry food-stampers run wild?

When President Obama signed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act in 2010, it was paid for partly by a $2.2 billion in cuts to food stamps — officially known as the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program – beginning in November 2013.

According to a Politico report at the time, those cuts were opposed by House Democrats. But they were pacified by the president’s empty promise.

“I’m committed to working with them [Democrats] to restore these funds in the future,” he said.

Well, the future is here, and it turns out the president wasn’t telling the truth again.

“Cut in food stamps forces hard choices on poor,” The New York Times reported on its Nov. 7 front page, in an 1,100-word story that never mentioned the words “Michelle” or “Obama,” or explain that the feckless first lady’s failure as a school lunch director is really behind the cuts.

And a failure she was, as the generally boot-licking Associated Press  showed in August, when it reported “schools around the country are dropping out of the healthier new federal lunch program, complaining that so many students turned up their noses at meals packed with whole grains, fruits and vegetables that the cafeterias were losing money.”

“Some of the stuff we had to offer, they wouldn’t eat,” an Illinois schools superintendent told the AP. “So you sit there and watch the kids, and you know they’re hungry at the end of the day, and that led to some behavior and some lack of attentiveness.

That might be different if Michelle’s lunches didn’t “taste like vomit.”

Ayn Rand would be laughing.

Liberals try to force people to eat what they’re told; kids stop eating and adults lose their food stamps.

Liberals try to force people to get the the kind of health insurance the government decides; millions lose their insurance entirely.

Their end goal is to tell us all how to live our lives.

Guess what we will lose then.

So why didn’t the House increase SNAP benefits to show Michelle who is boss?

    1. Becky Fowler says:

Because she is a manbeast that will eat their children if they don’t obey.

    2. Thomas Viveiros says:

Because the Republicans know we are overspending and it must stop.

  2. Pat Reynolds says:

It is not that easy, it is one of very few cuts that have been done. We need more cuts and less spending all the time not putting the money in for food stamps. is just the beginning. a lot of cuts are going to hit.

Lots of groceries going up as well, because of one new tax that says every company that has more than 50 employees will have to pay $63 per insured employee per month! That is a lot!

  4. John Craig says:

The end of the text on the report says the President wants to make everybody live the way he wants them too! This won’t happen without………

My daughter goes to a Charter School. They have VERY good lunches, I hope it doesn’t end with another “OBUMMER” scam

I have never had a problem with giving people in need a hand. The problem is too many make food stamps and welfare a career. If you need a hand that’s fine but only for so long. After a time you can work a couple of days a week to keep getting your food stamps. Or three days a week for you welfare. Either one still leaves you time to look for work but at the same time it helps pay for the cost of your aid.

Got in line in the grocery store last week behind a man using WIC and gleefully explaining how he has 6 children and has been doing this for 14 years. I wanted to punch him as I was driving from store to store with my coupon box after working all day taking advantage of sales trying to feed my family. DON’T KEEP HAVING KIDS YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO FEED! There should be some kind of cut off for these people. No more than 3 kids before we stop giving you assistance or something.

      1. Thomas Viveiros says:

these families will keep spitting out kids if it benefits them .

      2. Michelle Carnevale says:

I totally agree with this. I have kids, but I stopped at three because we felt that was all we could afford. This is called responsibility…it’s called being an adult. I have a real problem with these career welfare people.
