‘Thnx Mr. President’: Ex-MSNBC host upset new policy to cost 3.5 times more

Former MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan got a real shocker a few days ago — his beloved catastrophic health insurance policy was cancelled thanks to the Affordable Care Act, and a replacement policy will cost him 3.5 times as much.

On Thursday, the former “The Dylan Ratigan Show” host tweeted this message:

He followed up with this:

Right from the very start, Ratigan recognized that the Affordable Care Act would cause more harm than good. It would decrease our choice of insurers and cleaver our plan options, resulting in rising insurance costs.

Here’s a debate he had on his show with the ever-opinionated U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. This has to be the only time I ever saw her stammer.

Ratigan’s show became the highest-rated non-primetime show on MDMBC, but in June of 2012, he announced that he would be leaving at the end of his contract in order to, among other things, engage in hydroponic farming.

If I had to work every day with the likes of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Al Sharpton, I’d probably become a farmer too.
