A group of Egyptian lawyers filed a complaint in the International Criminal Court naming President Barack Obama as an accessory to the Muslim Brotherhood’s commission of crimes against humanity.

The complaint also named Muslim Brotherhood members for crimes committed before and after the June 30 revolution that ousted then-President Mohamed Morsi, CBN News reported, quoting the Egyptian newspaper El Watan.

The International Criminal Court, located in The Hague, was founded in 2002 to “bring to justice the perpetrators of the worst crimes known to humankind – war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide,” according to Wikipedia.

The complaint alleges that Muslim Brotherhood leaders and members engaged in torturing, mutilating, raping and killing Egyptians in “sit-in” camps. The International Criminal Court defines such acts as “crimes against humanity.”

CBN reported:

As for the Obama administration’s support for the Brotherhood, if most Americans are clueless or indifferent about it, average Egyptians have long known and resented it—hence the many large placards and signs held during the June 30 Revolution calling on Obama to stop supporting terrorism and calling on Americans to wake up.

One need only follow the words and deeds of [U.S. Ambassador to Egypt] Anne Patterson, [U.S. Sen.] Lindsey Graham, [U.S. Sen.] John McCain, [former Secretary of State] Hillary Clinton, et. al. to know that the U.S president is a firm supporter of the crimes-against-humanity-committing Muslim Brotherhood.

Watch the report from CBN News:

Consider two things before getting too upset or overly ecstatic by the news.

First, the United States does not participate in the International Criminal Court. We’re not a signatory nation, and we are not subject to its jurisdiction.

Second, even if we agreed to fall under its jurisdiction, the prosecution would be hard-pressed to prove that the president, by his actions or inactions, aided the Brotherhood’s crimes on Egyptian citizens.
