The fact that President Obama’s ego won’t allow him to simply say, “I made a mistake and I’m sorry,” was exhibited in spades Thursday during an exclusive interview he had with NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd.
In response to a question as to whether he owed the American people an apology for his oft-repeated promise (at least 36 times) that if you like your health care you can keep your health care, Obama simply said he was sorry that some people were losing their health care coverage, according to US News and World Report.
The president’s promise earned him the maximum four Pinocchios from The Washington Post. This week, the Tampa Bay Times’ PolitiFact awarded the president the maximum “Pants on Fire” designation when he went back on his statement and claimed it included the caveat “if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.”
Both publications have a leftward slant.
Conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham tweeted:
Dear Mr President: You can keep your apology if you like your apology. PERIOD.

Liar, Thief, Muslim! Murderer! Can’t say how I really feel about him, May get arrested.
………..as long as he and the others get to keep theirs, at taxpayer expense I might add. What a sad state of affairs when the so called leader of the free world is such a pitiful excuse of a man.
So tempted to compare to Carter and 1979, but I think our country is actually in a worse state now than it was back then.
OK, let’s try that again. And this time, with feeling.
Fonzie was also unable to say the word sorry.
The Fonz would make a much better president!
Yes! That was because of their narcissism! Some people never outgrow that trait ever! So sad for the USA!
What a sewer of a man.
Sewers have a useful purpose.
I would call him sewage.
I stand corrected.
To bad there are NO laws for lying. If so, this president would be in very big trouble. He has done nothing but lie to the American people. And I think that he is believing his own lies. What the news outlets need to start doing, is running all the clips of all the times he has said that you can keep your healthcare coverage, but he has changed it now, to if it has not changed since the law has been passed. What a liar to get want he wants, and shame on America for letting him get away with it.
Wasn’t there an old commandment that dealt with that issue?
Maybe not, but there are laws against fraud, which is what the whole “A”CA was.
There are no laws for bribery either.
We should see some changes in 2014.
