Bizarre plaque honors President Lincoln as a Democrat

No, you wouldn’t be crazy nor would you fail a history test if you said President Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.

Just don’t look at this example of yet another bizarre, little attempt by liberal academia to rewrite history to its liking.

Weasel Zippers reported on this plaque hanging outside the Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies at Northeastern Illinois University.

The Twitterverse was even too stunned to poke much fun, but the photo is making its way around social media.

Democrats have a hard time believing they are on the wrong side of history so it’s not unusual for them to simply change it.

    Obvious PROPOGANDA on the plaque

Lincoln the REPUBLICAN freed the slaves

    Also Democrats were KKK

Has the plaque been removed yet? It must be screamed from the mountain tops and they must be made to take it down and correct it. That is what would happen if the story was the other way around untruthfully.

The plaque was installed in 1905, it’s not going anywhere.

Do we need anymore proof that Liberals are mentally ill?

The patina is uneven and the letter size for the words on right side appear larger and of less age…..interesting

President Lincoln was, in fact, a democrat. Now, he was a member of the Republican party, but he was still a democrat. “Democrat” and “republican” are words which have specific meanings. Now, those words are used by two political parties, but that doesn’t change the fact that those words have specific meanings. The word “democrat,” for example, means “an adherent of democracy,” or “one who practices social equality.” The use of the word on the plaque is not an indicator of the political party to which me belonged.

    In their dreams.

  10. Rich says:

The statement “Lincoln was a Democrat” is as jarring as the statement “Governor George Wallace was a Republican”.
