Obamacare website contractor admits even he couldn’t sign up

At Thursday’s House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing, an Obamacare contractor testified that he tried and failed to successfully complete the account application process on HealthCare.gov.

Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Pa., asked Andrew Slavitt, executive vice president of Optum/QSSI, whether he personally tried logging onto Obamacare’s insurance exchange website. Slavitt replied he had, but was unsuccessful.

“I logged on to create an account, was able to do so, but I just never received a confirmation email,” he said.

“It didn’t work,” he confirmed after a followup up question.
