Pelosi: Don’t worry about ‘what happens if they’re not able to fix it’

Reporters asked about only one issue at Wednesday’s press briefing with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. — the debacle of HealthCare.gov’s rollout. And she had but one message to the press — “just fix it.”

In a one minute, 22 second clip, she said, “fix it” 8 times.

“The situation right now is unacceptable; it’s unfortunate,” she acknowledged according to The Hill. “But we did not work very hard and … dedicate our public service to a website. It was to an initiative for affordable, quality healthcare for all Americans.

“Just fix it, so we can go forward,” she added. “Fix the technology, and let’s not get too bogged down in what happens if they’re not able to fix it.”

She also described the Affordable Care Act as “a beautiful thing” as it provides “a healthier life, liberty and freedom to pursue their happiness — not chained to a policy.”

Actually, the purpose of the HealthCare.gov exchange is to shop for insurance policies.
