A senior Democratic member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee belittled not only his committee, but Thursday’s congressional hearing on the glitches with the Obamacare website.
U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J., called the hearing “a monkey court” and refused to yield to his Republican colleague U.S. Rep. Joe Barton.
Barton had “raised concerns about whether medical information would remain private after being entered into the site,” Fox News reported, to which Pallone said, “Once again, here we have my Republican colleagues trying to scare everybody.”
When Barton asked Pallone to yield, Barton exploded:
No, I will not yield to this monkey court or whatever this thing is! Do whatever you want. I’m not yielding!
It’s quite comical when Barton calmly interrupts Pallone saying, “This is not a monkey court.”
