Eyewitness video: Riot police clash with angry vets in DC

In a stunning display at a peaceful march, police wearing riot gear clashed with the “Million Vets March the Memorials” demonstrators as they gathered near the White House on Sunday.

“Hostile action to a peaceful demonstration,” a person can be heard saying in a video recorded by an individual and posted on YouTube.

“It’s the brown shirts,” another person said.

This video by MSNBC recorded the clash with the crowd, and even members of the media trying to document the event:
