However difficult it is to keep track of who’s side John McCain is on, he recently found the will and the language to make some well-placed, snide remarks on Vice President Joe Biden’s absence and President Obama’s obstinacy in talks over the government shutdown, according to Politico.
McCain, who has up until now served as Obama’s Syrian invasion “yes man,” is suddenly taking the president and his all-but-forgotten sidekick to task.
Politico reported:
“I hope the president will become engaged. Maybe we need to get Joe Biden out of the witness protection program,” the Arizona Republican quipped on CBS’s Face the Nation. “I’m very disappointed the president of the United States has not played a more active role in this.”
The shape-shifting McCain says he worries over our military capabilities during the shutdown, Politico reported.
