FLASHBACK: Actor James Woods witnessed dry-run to 9/11

A month before the 9/11 al-Qaida attack that took almost 3,000 lives, at least two of the hijackers performed a dry-run, much like those recently reported by inflight commercial airline personnel. And 9/11’s dry-run was witnessed and reported by none other than award winning actor and producer James Woods.

On Aug. 1, 2001 while on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles, Woods observed odd behavior by four Middle Eastern-looking men as he related to Bill O’Reilly on Fox News just a few months later. Concerned that the plane may about to be hijacked, he reported what he’d observed to a flight attendant and the aircraft’s first officer.

Woods’ flight eventually landed in LA without incident and he soon forgot about it — until Sept. 11. He called the local office of the FBI and reported what he’d observed the previous month. The following day, two special agents arrived at Woods’ home with photographs. Woods positively identified two of them.

One was a hijacker aboard United flight 175, which crashed into the World Trade Center’s south tower. The second was a hijacker on United flight 77, which flew into the Pentagon. It’s a fair assumption that the other two on Woods’ flight were aboard one or both of the other two 9/11 aircraft.

Twelve years later, similar dry-runs are again being reported.

On Sept. 2, airline personnel reported a disturbing incident during a flight from Washington, D.C., to Orlando. According to Tampa Bay 10 News:

Crew members say that shortly after takeoff, a group of four “Middle Eastern” men caused a commotion.

The witnesses claim one of the men ran from his seat in coach, toward the flight deck door. He made a hard left and entered the forward bathroom “for a considerable length of time.”

While he was in there, the other three men proceeded to move about the cabin, changing seats, opening overhead bins, and “generally making a scene.” They appeared to be trying to occupy and distract the flight attendants.
