Jon Stewart grills Sebelius on Obamacare failure: ‘Am I a stupid man?’

The Comedy Channel took a turn for the serious Monday when The Daily Show host grilled the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services over the train wreck that Obamacare is fast becoming.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was mistaken if she thought her interview with Jon Stewart was going to be fun and games — it came one week after the Affordable Care Act insurance exchanges opened.

Stewart began with a mock challenge: Who would finish first if he were to download every movie ever made while she tried to enroll in Obamacare, according to The Comedy Channel.

From there he questioned her time and again about the specifics of the Affordable Care Act. Why does business get a one-year reprieve from having to comply with the law but individuals do not? How many people have actually enrolled?

Not getting any clear responses, Stewart asked just before the commercial break, “Can we come back and ask some more questions? Can I ask the same one?”

Stewart kept hammering Sebelius after the break, calling the issues with Obamacare “frustrating” due to the “level of incompetence that’s larger than what it should be” and noted that businesses are cutting employee hours to get around the act. Sebelius said, “That’s not true.” Stewart wasn’t buying it.
